Post Malone doesn’t have a lot of music to match the nature of his celebrity but the “White Iverson” creator is looking to change that.

He premiered his self-proclaimed “record-of-the-year” new single, “Go Flex” earlier today (April 21) on Beats 1 with Zane Lowe.

Like “White Iverson” before it, the track employs sing-songy vocals over an atmospheric instrumental, this time with acoustic guitars and folksy foot stomps complementing booming 808s. The aim is clearly Top 40 for “White Iverson” peaked at number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 and went double platinum in sales.

“It’s a little bit of everything that I love,” the Dallas native told Zane Lowe about the track, as discovered by Complex. “It usually would start with guitar in this situation and then we would go to 808s over it and add a little swag…It just happened to come together really cool.”

Post is currently the opening act for Justin Bieber’s on his Purpose World Tour (the same tour where the infamous non-choke happened) and found time to get more visible this past weekend during Jack Ü’s Coachella set.

“Go Flex” is currently available on iTunes and should be updated onto his SoundCloud momentarily.
