In a post uploaded to Instagram yesterday (April 20), Missy Elliott gushed over a recent in-studio encounter with fellow musician, Bruno Mars. The Virginia wordsmith posted a photo collage featuring herself and Mars, and left the following caption:
“Big up to @brunomars I had a blast with him in the studio vibing!#magic He such a rare gem & such a humble spirit! I am so humbled & grateful Bruno We laughed & laughed the whole night then he played me some ass songs 4 his album Whewwww #INCREDIBLE! Unfortunately for curious fans, Missy didn’t address the possibility of a collaboration with Mars.
Missy’s social media share comes on the heels of a musical comeback for the rapper. Last year, she performed alongside Katy Perry during the Super Bowl halftime show, was featured on the cover of Billboard magazine, and served as a headlining artist at Essence Fest.
