Tory Lanez Addresses Drake's "Summer Sixteen" Diss

I wish he would stop claiming he was from the city of Toronto. He is from Brampton, which is on the outskirts of Toronto and part of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). He does NOT live in the city of Toronto. UGH!

You guys are tripping... new Toronto means the newer generation of hiphop artists coming out after Drake in the GTA, who in a way, really illuminated our hiphop scene. He's saying that a lot of guys in Toronto use him an influence and u can see it in their music. I've been listening to Tory all day... and to be honest, I didn't think of Drake at all in his sound til just now after reading this page. I just reflected on his sound, and I do see a similarity in Tory and Drake's singing vibe. but honestly, Tory is in his own lane? lol no pun intended .. like his sound is unique and still apart from Drake's... that's all i have to say...

Just another 2 cents I wanted to add..I was 21 in 2009 and the club scene was hella sick, all over prints was in, and you could still get in clubs with baggy jeans, hoodies, jerseys etc. and people could be theyselves..not long after that, shit went in a hella soft direction, culture shifted in a bad way, oversexualized and any sign of aggression was looked down upon. Maybe I just got old and couldn't keep up but just sayin I grew up seeing and believing that gettin rowdy on a moments notice was a means of survival, a way of celebratin, way of lettin them chicks know or just blowin off steam in general. Now its a crime against society or sum ish, sup with that yall? We all supposed to be Drake and drink girly wine wear girly sweaters and bump girly music?
