Drake says he will not be performing at the Grammy Awards.
During a commercial for the Grammy Awards, which aired during the Super Bowl last night (February 7), it was suggested that Drake would serve as one of the performers at the annual awards show.
Following the airing of the commercial, Drake quickly turned to Twitter to set the record straight.
“I am not performing at the Grammy Awards…but hey it’s the thought that counts,” Drake wrote in a tweet sent yesterday.
According to the website for the Grammy Awards, the artists confirmed to perform include Kendrick Lamar, Adele, The Weeknd, Justin Bieber, and more.
Although he’s not expected to perform at the Grammy Awards, Drake is nominated for a handful of Grammys. The awards he’s nominated for include Best Rap Performance, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, Best Rap Song, and Best Rap Album.
The Grammy Awards will air on February 15 at 8 PM EST.
