Big Sean’s #HealFlintsKids fundraiser has achieved a monetary milestone.
The campaign, which started on January 21, reached the landmark figure of $50,000 following what’s being described as “generous donations” from Cleveland Browns wide receiver Andrew Hawkins and comedian Hannibal Buress. DJ Mustard also gave $10,000 to the efforts.
In addition, the fundraiser has also received a multitude of donations from charitable fans wanting to add their philanthropic efforts to the current water crisis in the City of Flint, Michigan.
Big Sean kicked off the campaign with an initial $10,000 contribution from himself. The fundraiser was launched to benefit the Community Foundation of Greater Flint Michigan’s (CFGF) “Flint Child Health & Development Fund.”
Donors who make a tax deductible pledge of $10 or more will receive a chance to win a pair of VIP tickets to a Big Sean U.S. concert in 2016, with meet-and-greet and photo opportunities. For more information, visit CrowdRise’s official website.
The campaign will end on March 31 with five winners set to be announced and notified within days of the closing date. To donate, visit CrowdRise or for more information, visit the Sean Anderson Foundation’s website.
