“The first two projects we’re looking at, mine and Sean’s,” Pusha T said. “This one’s coming out the 18th. I got another album entitled King Push that’s coming out in April. Sean dropping. The Kanye SWISH project, you know, he come when he want to come. I don’t even bother him about his situation…I don’t even want to talk to him.”

Later in the interview, Pusha recalled the amount of time it took for The Clipse’s “Grindin’” record to break. He also explained that prior to the record breaking, he and his brother would perform for drug dealers for $2,000 a show since they “knew what the record was about.”

“What people don’t know is that that record that went on to become a classic called ‘Grindin,’’ that record took like nine months to break,” he said. “Like nine full months. I was at Arista Records at that time and I happened to walk in on a label meeting. L.A. Reid was going crazy about the record because the record was getting like 100 spins consistently for like four weeks, and they weren’t working it…So then, they put me on a promo tour…At this time I was doing like—Me and my brother was doing $2,000 shows for every drug dealer in the country…Cause that’s who knew what the record was about.”
