Rick Ross recently released his Black Dollar project and has made some press runs around it.
The Miami native recently sat down with Elliott Wilson and B Dot of Rap Radar and spoke about his free project but also, his displeasure of staying put creatively both in music and his business.
“It’s so much more we could be doing now,” Ross said when asked about lyrics relaying his displeasure of Atlantic. “It’s so much more that hasn’t been done. I won’t say [that] never came into fruition at Atlantic [Records] because we’re doing and executing everything we’ve planned but my mind opened up and I’ve learned so many new things. It’s so much more we could’ve been doing, so if you think this an ocean, this a lake, homie.”
Rick Ross also explained how he saw the Meek Mill and Drake beef play out on social media and the advice he gave Meek when the stakes started to rise.
“In every conversation we had, [it was] you move when you want to move,” he said. “You not forced to move nothing. Ain’t no time limits, ain’t no, get your money on tour, certain energies may flare up, let’s calm down homie. You out on bond. You got money to get. I’m out on bond. I got $8 million tied up. It’s certain things I want to see happening.
