King Louie shared a photo in hospital alongside Minister Louis Farrakhan yesterday (December 24).

The rapper, who is also known as King L, was shot in the head Wednesday (December 23) on the South Side of Chicago.

“I wanna send thanks to everyone for their prayers & support!” the Chicago rapper writes on the social networking site. “A special thank you to The Honorable Minister Farrakhan for the blessings & prayers.”

In a subsequent post, King Louie wished his fans and followers a Merry Christmas.

“MERRY XMAS 2 ALL …. ALL I WANT 4 XMAS IS 4 EVERYBODY 2 KEEP ME N THEIR PRAYERS …..IM STAYING STRONG 4 MY FAMILY & THOSE WHO R PRAYING 4 ME …..THANK U ALL,” he writes.

In further developments regarding the incident, the Chicago Tribune reports that two men were killed and six others injured during the fatal shooting.

Fellow Chicago rapper Kanye West also sent his best wishes to King Louie and his family.
