Lil Wayne, Karen Civil and boxer Andre Berto hosted a holiday celebration in Haiti Friday (December 18) for 500 children.

At the event, Live Civil Christmas Giveaway, each child was given an outfit from Lil Wayne‘s Trukfit clothing company, a hat from Civil’s Live Civil Thinking Cap partnership with New Era, and a book from Scholastic Corporation, according to Live Civil‘s website.

“A lot of people tend to forget about those who are less fortunate during the holiday season,” the New Orleans rapper says. “Not many understand how receiving just one item could bring so much joy to a child’s life, especially if they don’t have the same everyday luxuries that the more fortunate tend to overlook. I’m just grateful to be able to give back to Haiti in any way possible.”
