Jadakiss released his Top 5 Dead or Alive album last month, his first LP since 2009’s The Last Kiss. In a recent interview with The Realthat is scheduled to air on Fox tomorrow (December 17), the Yonkers, New York rapper explains his six-year span between albums.

“I was trying to learn the Internet thing, the whole get my digital savvy up,” Jadakiss says. “Get my team prepared, you know. Get my followers up, get my social media outlets, you know, to work in my favor. Some things with Def Jam, contractually, you know. You wanna get that in your favor as well.”

The LOX rapper says in that time he welcomed fraternal twin boys, which have kept him busy as well.

In 2013, Jadakiss talked about some of the features who were scheduled to appear on the then-forthcoming Top 5 Dead or Alive and gave insight into Lil Wayne’s feature.

“The L.O.X. is definitely on it,” Jadakiss said. “Songs that I got done? Jeezy, Wiz, Chris Brown… I got Weezy on there, too. The vintage Weezy, that mixtape killer Weezy.”
