August Alsina’s sophomore studio album, This Thing Called Life, is expected to sell between 30,000 and 35,000 units during its first week on sale, according to Hits Daily Double.

The 15-track project, which was released through Def Jam Recordings, acts as a follow-up to Alsina’s debut album Testimony, which landed at #2 on the chart upon its release last April, selling 67,171 during its first week of availability.

Alsina’s latest album adds to strong year-end release schedule for Def Jam. The label has recently put out projects by Justin Bieber, Jeezy, Jadakiss and Logic, the latter having sold 135,096 total album equivalent units during its first week on sale.
