Following comments Rick Ross made about not respecting the situation between Birdman and Lil Wayne, Pusha T was asked to share his thoughts on the situation, during an interview with Mikey T The Movie Star.
After speaking on the lack of respect he has for anyone who steals from someone else contractually, the G.O.O.D. Music lyricist revealed that he hasn’t respected Birdman for a long time.
“If you steal something then that’s just corny. If you steal something and you stealing it contractually, that’s like the lowest form of a thief. Like a cat burglar. It’s not even respectable in no way, shape, or form. You ain’t even thuggin’ it…I ain’t respected Baby for a long time no way, so it don’t matter,” Pusha T said.
Prior to speaking on Birdman versus Lil Wayne, Pusha T shared a handful of details about his upcoming album, Darkest Before Dawn-The Prelude. He spoke specifically on production and features for the project.
According to Pusha, Darkest Before Dawn-The Prelude will include guest features from the likes of Beanie Sigel, while J. Cole, Baauer, and a handful of others will provide assistance on the production end.
“On this project I’d have to say I been working with Sean Combs, Timbaland, Kanye, of course,” he said. “I got production from J. Cole. Production from Baauer, Hudson Mohawke, Boi-1da. The-Dream is always close by…I got a record up there called ‘Crutches, Crosses, Caskets.’ And it’s like—It’s just one of the hardest records. Hardest, but not even overtly hard. It’s a conversation. And it’s just eerie. And it’s just true. It’s just about all I see is victims.”
