The N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton will receive three awards at the African American Film Critics annual awards ceremony in February, the organization announced today (December 7), according to the Los Angeles Times.

Along with the honor for best picture, the film will receive the awards for ensemble and best supporting actor for Jason Mitchell, who portrayed Eazy-E.

Creedand Chi-Raq also won multiple awards. The boxing film based on the Rocky series won awards for director Ryan Coogler (best director), Michael B. Jordan (breakout performance) and Tessa Thompson (supporting actress.)

Spike Lee’s film will get awards for best independent film and best actress for Teyonah Parris’s performance.

Will Smith was named best actor for his work in Concussion.

The awards ceremony is scheduled for February 10 at the Taglyan Complex in Hollywood. The event will also honor the 25th anniversaries of Boyz N The Hood and New Jack City.
