This week, Billboard triggered a shockwave in the Hip Hop community with the release of their two lists that ranked “The 10 Greatest Rappers of All Time” and “The 10 Greatest Hip-Hop Beats of All Time.” The first of the two lists instigated widespread debate among Hip Hop fans and spectators alike, mostly for the exclusion of Tupac Shakur. Various cultural personalities later weighed in and offered their thoughts on the list, including Snoop Dogg, Ghostface Killah and more.

Snoop Dogg & Ghostface Killah React To Billboard’s Top 10 All-Time Greatest Rappers List

A string of Hip Hop personalities took to social media to offer their thoughts on Billboard’s recently published list of “The 10 Greatest Rappers of All Time.”

Among those who offered their thoughts were Snoop Dogg and Ghostface Killah, the latter of whom thanked Billboard for including him on the list.

“Love to @billboard for having me on their Top 10 Greatest Rappers of All Time list,” the Wu-Tang rapper wrote on Instagram, later taking the time to promote his Rap app. “Think you one of the GOATs?? Go cop that @ispit16 app now and get your bars up #Billboard #Top10 #GOAT #Spit16 #BeSeenBeHeard.”

Elsewhere Snoop Dogg, who himself failed to make the list, took to Instagram to criticize Billboard for not including Tupac among the Top 10.

“This is so disrespectful. !!” the Long Beach, California rapper wrote on the social networking site under an image of Billboard’s list. “Whoever did this list need a swift kick in the Ass. No. Tupac. Come on cuz. Jus my opinion.”

Among the rappers included on the list are Lil Wayne, who is at #10, and Kendrick Lamar who is at #9.

The publication ranked The Notorious B.I.G. as the #1 rapper of all time, saying, “Unlike everyone else on this list, Biggie never dropped a single bad song, or a single errant bar.”

Billboard Names “10 Greatest Hip Hop Beats Of All Time”

Billboard also released their “The 10 Greatest Hip-Hop Beats of All Time” list last week (November 12).

Snoop Dogg’s “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” which was produced by The Neptunes, landed at #8 on the list. Elsewhere, Dr. Dre’s self-produced track “Nuthin’ but a ‘G’ Thang” came in at #4.
