Rowdy Rebel was arrested with Bobby Shmurda and members of the GS9 crew in December on murder and weapons charges. Speaking with Revolt TV, Rowdy Rebel details his thoughts on Epic Records not bailing he and Shmurda out.

“I ain’t really mad at them ’cause at the end of the day, they don’t really owe us nothing,” he says to RevoltTV.

“They’re not our followers,” he continues. “They’re not our best friends. I don’t expect them to feel the pain that our parents and all my friends go through. They in jail. We need to get them out.'”

Earlier this month, Dame Dash and L.A. Reid spoke on Epic not bailing out the rappers. As CEO of the label, Reid said that he cares about Shmurda, but had to make a business decision. Dash said that Reid likely didn’t have the power to bail Shmurda or Rebel out because Epic is owned by Sony. Rebel expresses his understanding of the system.

“On the business side, they invested in us, so I expected them to get us out and shit,” he says, “but at the end of the day, it’s up to them and it’s up to Sony, really.”
