Drake posted an Instagram video this weekend of himself dancing to Kodak Black’s “SWRV” and tagged the rapper in his post.
Earl Sweatshirt took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the co-sign.
“drake found kodak black? smh welp,” he writes.
He then engages in discussion about why he doesn’t think Drake’s support is genuine.
“drake can be a bit of a vulture on young rap niggas and i don’t want lil kodak to be a victim of it,” he says.
One person suggests Drake is using his platform to help younger artists.
“I still feel like drake overall statement isn’t ‘check out this new shit I heard’ it’s always self serving,” Earl Sweatshirt responds.
“it’s not his job to develop them as artists,” he continues.” but the line between paying homage and wave riding is a blurry one.”
