Gangsta Boo recently released her Candy, Diamonds & Pearls album but perhaps just as notable was her appearance on Killer Mike and El-P’sRun the Jewels 2 album last year.

Recently sitting down with HipHopDX News Editor Soren Baker, the former Three 6 Mafia member and Memphis native spoke about her role on the song.

“I knew I had to bring it,” she recalled via a segment of today’s (October 15) DX Daily. “It was a collaboration for Killer Mike and El-P’s album. They with Nas at Mass Appeal and stuff and I knew it would be an extremely good look for me if I snapped. Mike just pretty much just said, ‘Do you’ and that’s what I did.”

Gangsta Boo also explained performing at numerous festivals with the producer/rapper duo. Boo says that when she does her verse, the crowd always goes wild.

“I’ve done Coachella with them, I did so many festivals and every time I do that verse the crowd goes wild and when I say wild I mean 10,000+ type crowd so it’s fun,” she said.
