Flavor Flav pled guilty to one count of unlicensed aggravated operation of a motor vehicle yesterday (October 13) in New York’s Nassau Criminal Court, the Associated Press reports.

The charge stems from a traffic stop in which the rapper was pulled over while driving to his mother’s funeral in January 2014. He was indicted for driving with a suspended license, speeding and two misdemeanors.

Flavor Flav was sentenced to a fine of approximately $3,600 and time served, which was accounted for in the hours he was in police custody.

If the case went to trial, the rapper was potentially facing four years in prison.

The report says Flavor Flav wore a clock around his neck while in court and thanked his attorney, the judge and the state trooper who provided him with a ride to the funeral after his initial arrest.
