Lecrae took over The Grammys‘ Instagram account yesterday (October 12) and posted various pictures throughout the day of his trip to Tokyo.

In one of the images, the “Welcome To America” rapper stands in front of A Bathing Ape store and explains the influence Pharrell has had on his career.

“@pharrell is one of my inspirations,” Lecrae says. “His appreciation of art and culture have broadened my horizons. Only right I check out BAPE in Tokyo – the brand he helped popularize around the world.”

He also quotes Jay Z and Beyonce’s “’03 Bonnie & Clyde” for a picture of him and his wife riding in a cart through the city.

“‘Down to ride to the very end… just me and girlfriend’ picture us rollin thru the streets in Asakusa, Tokyo,” the caption says.

Lecrae has won two Grammys, one for Best Gospel Album in 2012 with Gravityand another for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song with “Messengers.
