The mother of D12 member Proof, Sherallene “Pepper” Holton-White, also known as Mama P, passed away, according to reports from AllHipHop.com.
Proof was shot and killed during an altercation at a Detroit nightclub in 2006.
After her only son’s death, Mama P went on to establish The Proof Foundation.

“The foundation was established to support music programs in Detroit Public Schools, and also hosted annual candlelight vigils on the anniversary of Proof’s death,” the site says.
Funeral services have yet to be set.
