While speaking exclusively with HipHopDX, “Love & Hip Hop Hollywood” star Brandi Boyd spoke on a scene in which she is shown hiding in a trunk to spy on her husband, songwriter Max Lux.

The goddaughter to the late Whitney Houston went on to explain that some people may be able to relate to the drastic measures she took to keep an eye on her husband.

“With the show [and] everybody watching—I don’t care if it’s one person watching, three million people watching, eight million people watching, it feels just regular,” Brandi Boyd said in a DX Daily that premiered this week. “Because at the end of the day, it’s our life. Either you like it or you don’t. I think a lot of people should be able to relate. Some people can feel like ‘Damn, that was me.’ It’s embarrassing. ‘Oh shit, was she in the trunk?’ Yeah, I was. It’s not a secret no more.”

Later in the interview, Max Lux, who has worked with the likes of Lil Kim and Flo Rida, was asked what he thinks about the other men on the show.

“With guys I don’t worry because it’s like if you can take my wife from me—I just want her to be happy. I’mma be okay no matter what…As long as they treat you right. You just gotta know how to be the bigger man,” Max Lux said.
