50 Cent is asking the judge in his bankruptcy case for permission to pay his household bills, according to TMZ.

The site says that the Queens, New York rapper needs the court’s permission to pay the electric, gas, trash removal, cable, Internet and phone bills at his 50,000 square foot Connecticut residence while he goes through the bankruptcy process.

50 Cent filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in July. 

“It’s for protection,” 50 Cent said during an exclusive interview with HipHopDX at the time, “so I’m not taken advantage of.”
