What happened to the real hiphop singles?
They left when you stopped buying them.
@WhitIverson Not quite. It’s all about the emasculation of hip hop and black culture. It’s very effective. The turn of the new millennium marked an epic change in American pop culture. Rap proved to be a marketing and commercial machine with staying power. In 99 one of Hip Hops chosen presented Eminem. Soon after Nelly Chingy and other moist rappers began to be excepted. Enter the dumbing down of ATL rap which allowed lil Wayne to become best rapper alive…for the moment. He signs a soft kid from Canada who rode on the emotional persona of Kanye West and here we are. Fetty Wap and Silento.
