Empire executive producers Danny Strong and Lee Daniels, as well as Imagine Entertainment and 21st Century Fox, are being sued by Jon Astor-White for $500 million, according to TMZ.

The site says that Astor-White pitched a show titled King Solomon in 2007, a program he imagined with Richard Roundtree in the starring role that shares similar themes as Empire.

The show would have focused on a record company boss and his family and their wrestling for control of the imprint.
