“Overall, I think it’s an incredible film,” Erin Wright says. “It’s very powerful and historical, and I’m really excited for everyone to see it. I also have to speak on Jason Mitchell, who portrayed my father. He just did a phenomenal job.”

Wright also discussed the portrayal of her father by actor Jason Mitchell.

“In real life, Jason and I have hung out and he’s my really good friend, but when you see him in costume and on the big screen, it was kind of scary,” she says. “I mean, I literally felt like he was my father, and he did a great job. Even just the memories that I have with my dad, and all the stories I’ve heard, and everything that I’ve imagined in all of these years is what I saw on the screen from Jason and I could not be more proud. I don’t think anybody could have played my father better than he did.”

While answering questions about his single “Finna Get Loose,” radio host Angela Yee explained that 50 Cent had sent them a case of EFFEN to give to Puff Daddy, who owns a stake in Cîroc, a direct competitor. Host Charlamagne Tha God then pulled out a piece of paper that read, “Let’s be friends – Curtis Jackson.”

“I welcome him into the game,” Puff Daddy says in response. “It’s good to see somebody of my color out there representing in this field. Hopefully he appreciates me opening up the doors for him continuously.”

50 Cent’s gesture is a direct mirroring of what Puff Daddy did for the G-Unit frontman’s 40th birthday early last month. Puff offered Fif’ a lifetime of “superior ultra premium” Ciroc in a special birthday message via Instagram. When asked about only receiving one case, Puff Daddy said: “I appreciate his gesture When you’re first starting out in these little companies, they don’t really have a lot of supply. So that’s with homeboy’s vodka, sometimes maybe you can only send a case.”
