Master P is directing a biopic of his life, Ice Cream Man: King of the South, according to XXL.
The New Orleans emcee will reportedly release the film through his own No Limit Forever Films. The movie will depict his ascent from the streets to the headquarters of his own No Limit record label.
The rated-R film, written by Master P, Parde Bridget and Wayne Conley, is slated to hit theaters Spring 2016.
Master P has previous movie experience when he wrote, directed and starred in 1997’s I’m Bout It and acting the lead role in 1998’s MP Da Last Don.
This project follows the N.W.A film Straight Outta Compton, which was released to theaters yesterday (August 14). A movie based on Tupac’s last week of life is also reportedly in the works.
