Timbaland says that unheard music featuring Aaliyah will be on its way soon.
“Attention!!!!!” Timbaland says in an Instagram post. “People ask me all the time do I have any babegirl music we haven’t heard !!!!!well the answer is YES!!!!!!!! TIMBO x BABEGIRL !!!!! Sneak peak coming !!!!!!!”
Aaliyah worked closely with Timbaland before she passed away in 2001. Controversy has surrounded a posthumous release of her music, but Timbaland seems confident that the music will be unearthed soon.

Timbaland sampled Aaliyah’s vocals for XXL Freshman Tink’s “Million” track. This came after Timbaland says Aaliyah spoke to him in a dream.
“I don’t touch Baby Girl’s records—y’all know that’s Aaliyah,” Timbaland said. “I was riding home one day, asleep. She spoke to me in my sleep and said, ‘She’s the one.'”
No release date has been set for new music from Aaliyah.
