After hearing the response Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj had to his comments on his I’ll Name This PodcastLater, Joe Budden says hethought Nicki was smarter than that.
“I fuck with her,” Joe Budden says during an interview with Allhiphop. “I’m a Nicki fan. I’m a fan of Nicki. I fuck with her. I’m well documented in saying that I fuck with her. That’s why it was a little disappointing. She’s always come off a bit more well thought out. A bit more intelligent than that.”
Joe Budden also feels as though Meek Mill’s response was because of the influx of tweets he received regarding Budden’s comments on his podcast.

“I think Meek eventually understood that it was a joke, but at that point it’s too late that you understand it because we live in a business where public perception is everything,” Joe says. “If you have a million people in your mentions saying all this fuck shit, you take that approach even if you know it is a joke.”
Joe Budden is positive that Meek Mill and Nicki know that he wasn’t serious, although in the interview he calls Meek corny for calling him corny.
“I am sure he knows that I don’t have any issues with him,” Joe Budden says. “I’m positive that he knows that. But it’s the show. It’s the whole smoke and mirrors thing.”
