Azizi Gibson has been making some noise lately and is on the cusp of releasing one of his biggest tracks to date. According to the musician’s Twitter account, he’ll be releasing his “Slave Ship” song featuring Waka Flocka Flame on Tuesday (June 23).
The Frankfurt, Germany native is also slated to release his forthcoming independent album, preHISTORIC TiLL Death and recently spoke with HipHopDX’s Victoria Hernandez about the project and the creativity embedded in it.
“[I want to use] a little bit of like this melodic voice,” Azizi said in explaining how he wants his voice to fit into the music via a segment of today’s (June 22) DX Daily. “It’s not really singing but I feel like I have a knack for like really catching a nice melody inside of a beat. So I’m learning like how to not be afraid to take it there.”
