Atlanta, Georgia rapper OG Maco turned to Twitter to call out Houston, Texas artist Travi$ Scott over his latest single, “3500,” which features Future and 2 Chainz. OG Maco appeared to be most concerned over Scott releasing what he feels is “an Atlanta record” with big-name, Atlanta artists.

The Southern wordsmith began his commentary on Scott and “3500” by posing a question on Twitter.

“What’s impressive about an Atlanta record made by a non-Atlanta native, backed by two of the biggest artists and producers? Anyone?,” OG Maco asked in a tweet sent yesterday (June 8).

OG Maco went on to clarify that he is a Travi$ Scott fan, even calling him one “of the most amazing performers of our time,” but did stress that a line has to be drawn at some point.

“I’m saying this and I’m a fan of @trvisXX But we gotta draw the line if we’re gonna take the game. We gotta be legendary in our own right,” he wrote.

“3500” was one of a handful of songs Travi$ Scott performed during his set at Hot 97 Summer Jam on June 7. The record also serves as the first single from Scott’s upcoming album, Rodeo.
