Scarface’s Diary of A Madman has been one of the most notable books released by a Hip Hop artist in recent memory. The book details everything about the Geto Boys emcee’s musical career and includes a plethora of stories.

Also interestingly present in his book is a list of his favorite producers. Face has been able to work with a lot of Hip Hop’s finest during his tenure and names a few behind-the-board greats.

“In fact, if I had to name [my favorite producers], I would go with Kanye [West], Marley Marl, Dr. Dre, Tone Capone, N.O. Joe, Mike Dean and [John] Bido in no particular order,” he relayed in Diary of A Madman, recently highlighted by Friday’s (June 5) DX Daily. Scarface went on to break down his top five, only including producers he has had the fortune to collaborate with.

“I really like the shit that the Neptunes and Timbaland do, too,” he wrote. “But if I was picking a top five from the ones that I’ve worked with, I’d have to go with Marley Marl, Dr. Dre, Tone Capone, N.O. Joe and Kanye. There just aren’t a whole lot of producers that I really, really dig, but Kanye West is definitely on that list.”

Scarface also recals in his memoir that there are numerous unreleased tracks he did with West. The chances the public will ever get to hear those records remains unknown.
