Bun B, N.O.R.E. and DJ Scratch paid homage to the late The Notorious B.I.G. today (May 21) on what would have been the late rapper’s forty-third birthday.

Biggie was shot and killed in Los Angeles after leaving a Vibe magazine party March 9, 1997. His murder remains unsolved.

“Happy Birthday Biggie!! What’s your favorite Biggie joint?” DJ Scratch, producer and one-third of EPMD, wrote on Instagram yesterday (May 20).

N.O.R.E. sent Biggie a birthday shout out on Twitter today (May 21), while Bun B recalled a discussion he had with the late rapper regarding music.

“Met Big in Atlanta on promo tour. Chaka Zulu was label rep. Told Big his album was jamming. Told us Pockets was his favorite song on Menace,” Bun B wrote on twitter today.

Bun B was a member of U.G.K., whose “Pocket Full Of Stones” song was featured on the official motion picture soundtrack to the 1993 film Menace II Society.
