Legendary blues musician B.B. King died yesterday (May 14) in his Las Vegas home. He was 89.
After receiving medical attention due to complications caused by his high blood pressure and diabetes, King announced on his website that he was in hospice care at his residence.
His attorney, Brent Bryson, told The Associated Press that King died peacefully in his sleep.
The Rock-and-Roll Hall-of-Famer is largely regarded as the “King of Blues.” His influence has reached artists in a variety of genres.
Several Hip Hop artists took to Twitter to share their condolences to Mr. King.
