Joey Bada$$ released his B4.DA.$$album in January to wide acclaim and now, the Brooklyn rapper wants others from his camp to shine in the spotlight.

Recently sitting down with HipHopDX’s Features Editor Andre Grant for Today’s (May 14) DX Daily, the Brooklyn emcee says he wants to take the focus off of himself and put it on others.

“I think I’m going to be releasing things but I feel like Joey Bada$$ is and that’s pretty much established,” Joey said when asked whether he would be dropping previously unreleased work in the future. “What I drop in the future, I’m going to really take my time with it. We’re really shifting into Kirk [Knight] season so that’s where the light is going to be at and everything. I really want everybody go get their window just like I did.”

Later on in the interview, the Pro.Era headman addressed whether he still has plans on releasing a Capital STEEZ posthumous LP. He explained that he does but a release date is still tentative.

“I can’t say when it’s going to come out but it’s definitely going to come out,” he replied.

Also during the interview, Joey Bada$$ was asked why he doesn’t run for president. He says he doesn’t want to run because he doesn’t “want to get shot.”
