In addition to Atlanta, Georgia rapper Young Thug, a handful of others were also affected by the leak of Thugger’s music earlier this week. Among those affected was Alex Tumay, an engineer who has worked with Young Thug, Travi$ Scott, Lil Durk and a number of other artists.

On Tuesday (May 12), Tumay expressed his frustration with the leak in a handful of messages posted on Twitter.

He said the leaks were “heartbreaking” and revealed that news of the leaks had been eating at him all day. The engineer then went on to reveal that the unfinished songs that leaked will likely be the only versions people will get to hear.

“These songs were a huge part of the past two years of my life…Whoever leaked them has no respect for music or the work that goes into creating it,” Tumay wrote. “Now there is a very real chance that these unfinished versions will be the only ones that people ever hear. I don’t have the time to devote to mixing/arranging the leaks for free, and I doubt there’s any interest to pay to have them mixed now that they leaked, so these will be the most complete versions people hear.”

News of the leaks comes weeks after Young Thug released his Barter 6 album. The release of the album was also preceded by a handful of leaks.
