Declaring a king of Hip Hop doesn’t seem possible to OG Maco.

The Atlanta upstart doesn’t believe that Jay Z or Eminem should bear the crown. In a recent interview with VladTV, Maco explained why he feels neither veteran is worthy of that title.

“I feel like you can’t really have a king of Hip Hop,” he says. “Jay Z is the biggest flexer of all time. Nobody else has sustained a career longer off of blatant flexing.. Almost every Jay Z song has to do with him flexing on you.

“He’s been flexing for years, the more he grows, the more he flex,” he continues. “You don’t start seeing social struggle Jay until ‘Ye.”

Eminem, according to Maco is the “original anarchist rapper.”

“He was pushing the boundaries because he knew he himself was a boundary being pushed,” Maco says. I just feel there are other rappers who people enjoy more.”

When Vlad asks the “U Guessed It” rapper why rappers don’t blend genres more, Maco says it’s because “we just want to be the realest nigga.”

“Thats it, if it ain’t that we ain’t trying to do more. But that don’t get you a grammy…it also doesn’t get you a fulfilled life because you’re only listening to one viewpoint.”
