Tyler, The Creator is no stranger to controversy.

The Odd Future member is standing firm behind a controversial design he’s promoting on his new apparel.

Golf Wang’s latest collection includes tees adorned with the Nazi symbol shaded with colors of the rainbow to signify the gay pride emblem. The Neo-Nazi group “White Pride Worldwide” is the organization the logo appropriated on the shirts. Tyler switched “White Pride World Wide” with “Golf Pride World Wide.”

Tyler recently shared a post on the  Golf Wang Tumblr, explaining why he chose to include the controversial designs on his new apparel.

“What if a black guy wore this logo on a shirt? Would he be promoting self hate? Would he be taking the power out of a shape? What if a gay guy wore this on a shirt? Would he [be] promoting Homophobia? Then BAM! I had it,” he wrote. “Throw a little rainbow in the logo (I still wonder, who was the guy that said a rainbow is the gay symbol? That’s another article stay tuned) and take a photo with a white guy in it and we have an amazing photo.”

Tyler also defended his previous use of the word “faggot” in his lyrics and says he’s one of the most accepting people when it comes to homosexuality.

“Trying to take the power out of something, I WAS NEVER REFERRING TO SOMEONES SEXUAL PREFERENCE WHEN USING THAT WORD,” he wrote in the post. “I mean, I’m legit one of the least homophobic guys to walk this earth but, most people just read the surface.”
