In December, Lil B shared an image on Instagram of him and Frank Ocean in the studio together.

The Based God wrote that he and Ocean would have “new music coming soon” in the caption.

So, when renowned video director Nabil Elderkin shared a black-and-white image of himself, standing next to Lil B in a California pet store on IG, Fader Magazine assumed Elderkin had just wrapped up a video shoot with The Based God.

Instead, Elderkin replied to the publication via Twitter, revealing that he had actually just finished a photo shoot of Lil B to coincide with an interview for Frank Ocean’s new magazine.

“We did a fresh photo shoot for Frank Ocean’s new magazine with interview by frank,” Elderkin wrote on Twitter. “But I’d def do a video with Him…. What a cool bro.”

Ocean recently announced on Tumblr that his new album is slated for a July release. His magazine, “Boys Don’t Cry,” is also expected to be released in July.
