“When we first came out with it, we were ridiculed,” Gangsta D said in a clip that debuted as a part of today’s DX Daily.

“We didn’t care about that,” D recalled. “That let us know we did something. For anybody to take attention to it. We always done music [about] what we know and what we know people like. Just trying to keep it pushing and mix in a new type of style of music.”

Speaking about their current music, Gangta D spoke about the duo’s most recent album Compton Muzik and the release’s lead single.
