As the release date for Young Thug’s Tha Carter 6 album nears, fans heard Lil Wayne’s thoughts on the matter at his “Release Partiez” tour stop in Jackson, Mississippi yesterday (April 9) night.

During his set, Wayne addressed the crowd and spoke on Thug continuing Tha Carter series of albums he began in 2004. Karen Civil captured the clip.

“Y’all let him know I said, ‘Fuck ‘em,’” Wayne says, followed by the sound of gun shots from the DJ booth. “Stop listening to songs of niggas who pose naked on their motherfucking album covers.”

Wayne naked comment is likely alluding to  Thug’sTha Carter 6album art, on which Young Thug posed naked.

Tha Carter V was initially scheduled to be released in December, but Birdman and Cash Money Records have held onto the project, provoking Wayne to sue his former father figure and record label he’s been signed to since he was a teenager.

When Thugga first announced the idea to title his album Tha Carter 6, Lil Wayne’s daughter, Reginae Carter, spoke out via Twitter.
