Last month, Rich Homie Quan revealed to Atlanta’s Hot 107.9 radio station that he has chosen to “step away” from Rich Gang, the Cash Money assembled collective comprised of Young Thug, Quan and Birdman.

Fans assumed there was dissension within the crew, and Young Thug didn’t help matters when he called Quan “Bitch Homie Quan” at a recent show during the “Rodeo” Tour.

Despite the verbal jab, Quan spoke highly of his associates during an interview with AllHipHop at SXSW in Austin, Texas.

“Rich Gang still my family,” Quan says. “I had a couple problems with T.I.G. [Entertainment], my label, but we’re not going to speak on those terms. It is what it is.”

In a separate interview at SXSW with Vlad TV, Quan acknowledged that he was aware of Thugga’s insult but doesn’t know why he said it.

“At the same time, I wish Thugga the best success and the best in his career,” he told Vlad at the time. “We’re just going to leave it at that.”
