What is Ozomatli’s loss will be Jurassic 5’s gain. Emcee Chali 2na and DJ Cut Chemist have left one eclectic LA hip-hop outfit for another eclectic LA hip-hop outfit.
Original members of both bands, Cut Chemist and the 2nafish have had undeniably more success with Jurassic 5 and have left Ozomatli to concentrate on J5. Ozomatli is a live hip-hop band that features everything from emcees and D.J.s to tables, saxophones and flutes.
Ozomatli recently played a show in Las Vegas without the creative duo, but had replacements in their place that apparently filled in adequately. Ozo has a new album scheduled to drop on September 11 called Embrace This Chaos.
