The Kentucky Derby is considered the Super Bowl of horse racing. While most do not associate rap music with the horse racing scene, this years event will feature two of the largest names in hip-hop—T.I. and Nelly.

Both T.I. and Nelly will join a host of other celebrities from the worlds of sports, film and music to enjoy the celebration and will perform live at one of the several “official” Derby parties. T.I. will take the stage at Club Headliners on Sunday, May 8th, but will be soaking up the festivities at various locations around the city.

Nelly will also perform that night at O’Malleys Corner. In addition to his live show, the entrepreneur will be sponsoring the 2nd annual “Rip the Runway” pre-Derby fashion show on April 30th at the Kentucky International Convention Center. Nelly‘s charity foundation, Jus Us 4 Jackie, will also be receiving donations raised at the Grand Gala Derby Event on May 7th. The star-studded event will feature a special live performance by Patti Labelle and Michael McDonald.
