LL Cool J has landed yet another gig on television.

According to Deadline, the Hip Hop pioneer has been named host for a new lip syncing series, set to launch on Spike TV in the spring.

The show is a spin-off from Jimmy Fallon‘s infamous segment on The Tonight Show.

Fallon announced last month, that he, Stephen Merchant (The Office) and John Krasinski (The Office) will steer the show as executive producers.

“Like the rest of the world, I’m a big fan of these battles, but this show is going to bring it to a whole new level,” LL says. “I’m thrilled to be working with Jimmy Fallon, John Krasinski, Stephen Merchant, and the entire team to host the show and can’t wait for the fans at home to join in!!”

The format for the pilot series, places celebrities head-to-head in a lip-syncing duel. They’ll be able to perform a song of their choice, and the winner will receive bragging rights.

LL will also serve as a producer for the 10-episode series, which is slated to premiere April 2.
