Atlanta, Georgia rapper Young Thug stirred up a minor controversy following the release of DeJ Loaf’s “Blood” music video late last month. In the music video, which also features Birdman, the rapper appears to make a Crip sign around the 3:49 mark.

In a video obtained by Vlad TV, Thugger clarified his standing with the gang as he revealed that he “fucks with Crips.”

“Yo, let me straighten [this out], man. I fucks with Crips,” Young Thug said in the video. “I got brothers that are Crips, man. I fuck with Nipsey, man. I’m all in mothafuckin’ LAX, nigga. On Slauson. What the fuck you mean? I fuck with Crips, fool. No misunderstanding, nigga. Them my brothers.”

Shortly following the release of the “Blood” music video, Watts, California rapper Glasses Malone responded to Young Thug’s use of the Crip sign in the visual.

In an Instagram post, which featured a screen capture from the “Blood” video, Malone left the following caption: “Disrespectful.. SMMFH… School’s In!!!! #YouGonLearnToday.”
