Mothers can often provide unprecedented insight on their children.
They’ve witnessed their kids’ behaviors since, well, birth.
Yesterday (December 25), Drake shared two Instagram videos of his mom, Sandi Graham, commenting on her son’s “sensitive” ways in a crowded kitchen.
“It’s not that you cry at all,” she says in the first clip. “I’ve never seen you cry on stage or even when the two of us are just together.”
Drake laughs off her response from behind the cell phone as the visual abruptly ends.
“We’re talking about why people think I cry,” he continues.
“They don’t think you cry,” says Ms. Graham. “They would imagine that you would be a person that would cry because you are a sensitive soul.”
Last year, Drake reflected on fans perceiving him to be lonely, emotional and the “sad guy” during an interview with the Canadian Broadcast Channel.
“I do make music that makes you feel something,” he said at the time. “But I’m actually not that guy in real life I’m very happy… I’m a happy person. I’m very exciting. My life is constantly exciting. It’s not some sad, depressing story.”
