Less than a month after Lil Wayne initially Tweeted about wanting to leave Cash Money Records due to his album Tha Carter V being delayed, TMZ now cites an anonymous source close to the rapper in a new report about the possibility of his taking legal action against the label to leave on his own terms.

The site claims that Lil Wayne has not been on speaking terms with Birdman due to the label delaying his ready-to-be-released album while the Cash Money cofounder maintains that more work remains to be done.

Earlier this month, Lil Wayne sent out a vague Tweet about his status at the label after stirring up rumors with his complaints of the album’s delay.
