Iggy Azalea took to Twitter today (December 10), to address those who have doubted her. She reflects on the past year and says the best is yet to come.
“Every year people doubt me and say it will be my ‘last’ year, but as i look back i realize things only keep growing and improving for me it’s actually been an amazing last few years getting to where I’m at now,” Iggy Azalea says via a series of tweets.
She continues by saying the tough times have prepared her for success. She says that 2011 and 2012 were the hardest years for her and she hopes people can find encouragement from her.

She also announces that her upcoming tour featuring Nick Jonas will be titled The Great Escape Tour.
“I like the idea of me being a kind of musical escape artist for people,” she says.

The “Fancy” rapper has received criticism from across the Hip Hop world. Snoop Dogg took a jab at her on Instagram, which ignited some beef and ended after Snoop talked with T.I., Iggy’s Grand Hustle boss.
Her status in Hip Hop has been questioned by Rah Digga, Chuck D, Tyler, The Creator, Eminem and most recently J. Cole who took a shot at the Australian rapper in “Fire Squad,” a cut off his recent 2014 Forest Hills Drive.
“While silly niggas argue over who gone snatch the crown / Look around my nigga, White people have snatched the sound / This year, I’ll probably go to the awards dappered down / Watch Iggy win the Grammy as I try to crack a smile / I’m just playing, but all good jokes contain true shit,” Cole says.

Azalea also had to deal with reports that she and her former boyfriend Jefe Wine made a sex tape.
Despite the criticism, Azalea beat out Eminem and Drake for best Rap artist and album at the American Music Awards last month.
