Even though hockey season is a wrap doesn’t mean that the NHL’s finest can’t stay active making moves. NHL star Anson Carter is one of those players looking to make a splash in the hip-hop scene with the launching of his own label- Big Up Entertainment.

A long-awaited launch from African American NHL star Anson Carter features a strategy that will capture the attention of the urban-minded customer by providing urban-ready music, apparel and eventually films. The record label is being launched first with a new full-length release from Virginia act Main and Merc scheduled for early 2005 and the single release, ‘Take it to the Streets’ this month.

So while many of you hockey heads sit in dismay awaiting a new hockey season, stay on the lookout for Big Up Entertainment in the near future.
