Jeezy has spent his fair share of time incarcerated so he knows a little something about legal troubles.
Recently speaking to individuals at Wayne County Juvenile Detention Center in Detroit, Michigan, the Atlanta native relayed some of his own experiences behind bars and encouraged those incarcerated by saying they can still have a chance at the American Dream after their detainment.
“Detroit is like a second home to me and I really wanted to let you know that it is never too late for a second chance,” he said in front of the class. “You have your entire life ahead of you and there is no reason why you shouldn’t dream big.”
After speaking to the room, Jeezy exchanged a few words with residents and staff of the facility. The 120 residents range from 10-18 years of age.
